Our Mt Shasta Ice & Snow Course is a comprehensive mountaineering course to safely learn the techniques needed to climb glaciated terrain. For all climbers wanting to climb the snow-capped peaks of the Pacific Northwest, Mt. Mckinley, South America, or the Himalayas. Our expedition course takes you from the beginning with a review and introduction to the essential tools of ice ax and crampon techniques to rope team travel, ice climbing, ice & snow anchors, and crevasse rescue skills. In addition, our course includes a Summit Ascent via the Hotlum Bolum glacier putting your skills to the test.

Skill Level: Previous hiking and backpacking experience is required. No previous snow or ice mountaineering experience is needed. But previous rock, snow, or mountaineering is helpful.
