Starting at Bunny Flats, our expert guides will lead you through the picturesque Avalanche Gulch route until we reach the historic cabin operated by the Sierra Hut Club. From there, we’ll continue our journey through stunning gullies, arriving at our secluded campsite in Hidden Valley. This tranquil location offers breathtaking views of Shastina and Shasta, with the Trinity Alp mountain range as a stunning backdrop. As we begin our ascent up the West Face, you’ll experience a steady climb of almost 3,000 vertical feet before joining the upper sections of Casaval Ridge and Avalanche Gulch for the final push. Unlike the more popular Avalanche Gulch, the West Face offers a quieter and less steep alternative, making it a favorite among our guests.
