Our ascent offers a practical introduction to alpine climbing– providing Mt Whitney guided climbs via the Mountaineer’s Route (class 2-3) all summer. An excellent way to explore and climb the highest mountain in the Sierra Nevada. An ascent for the beginning mountaineer or intermediate backpacker who wants to ascend this peak adventurously. This route provides an uncrowded route, fantastic views of the East Face. SWS has been providing Mt Whitney guided climbs for over 40 yrs in the Sierra Nevada, great fun, and an exciting ascent of the highest peak in the lower 48 states.
